2022 was another year full of flooring method information, new trends, and successful projects. As we look forward to 2023, we recap the past year while gearing up for the new year ahead.
2022 Recap
This year we explored the right time to redcoat and refinish your hardwood floors, when maintenance is necessary, floor repair services, how wood inlay is made, the 19th century American history of wood flooring, and the best hardy hardwood floors that can withstand any kind of weather changes. We were glad to see trends through 2022 come to life with colors, finishes, and patterns and we’re excited to see what 2023 will bring.
2023 Trends
For spring and summer 2023 , spaces that provide rest, refuge and rejuvenation will be important. As a result, soft, fluid woodgrain floors with loose knots, such as Douglas Fir, are coming to the fore of flooring trends. Interiors are fostering a new gentleness, where people feel safe and at ease. Consider calming aesthetics, therapeutic color and soothing textures for your wood floors throughout your home that can make your home feel as relaxing as it should be.
Whatever style of flooring you’re choosing for this new year, eco-friendly and sustainable flooring is at the forefront of trends. Eco-friendly flooring can refer to flooring that has been created in a sustainable manner. It can also mean the floor is recyclable and hygienic. Manufacturers are beginning to pay more attention to the way they process and source their materials. For example, wood flooring manufacturers are taking materials from sustainable forests.
